On Thursday, July 2, all Calgarians are welcomed to our “yellow brick road” on Stephen Avenue to enjoy 2026 First Flip, the first pancake breakfast of the Stampede season. This year’s theme “There’s No Place Like Pancakes” is a celebration of community, connection, and the joy of returning to the heart of downtown Calgary with the reopening of Stephen Ave’s 100 SE block. Bring your family and friends for a morning of fun, food, live music by The Frontiers, and fantastic entertainment from Green Fools Theatre Society, Chinook Country Line Dancers, Pearl White Quills & Darcy Turning Robe, and Kylie Austin. Kick off Stampede in the Blue Sky City and be a part of this wonderful downtown community celebration. First Flip is proudly hosted by Tourism Calgary, Calgary Economic Development, Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, Calgary Chamber of Commerce, Calgary Downtown Association, Calgary Arts Development, Platform Calgary, and Calgary Hotel Association. Supporting partners include Hyatt Regency Calgary and Marriott Calgary Downtown.
